Are HBE houses energy-efficient?

HBE houses with standard external partition finishing are characterized by very good thermal conductivity parameters. Their U thermal conductivity ratio for the standard thermal isolation thickness (15 cm) drops below 0.2 W per sq.m. It is obviously possible to increase thermal isolation thickness, decreasing the said ratio even below 0.15 W per sq.m. Another important issue is the structure’s air-tightness and the existence of thermal bridges. In this regard the HBE system fares very well compared to other technologies. The system practically eliminates thermal bridges and obtains high air-tightness by using adequate materials.
